Down a winding road, she walks alone. Hoping for someone to walk along.

Finding none she wanders in despair. Breathing in the cool of air.

Crossing thoughts go through her mind. Wanting peace but none she could find.

Walking alone she is wandering still. A hand to hold, but none to feel.

In her hopeless mental state. All she needed was a friend to relate.

So many voices going through her head. So many telling her she's better off dead.

"Why doesn't anyone care," she replies. "No one loves me, it was all just a lie!"

"They didn't care to take time for me." "Their time was too precious to care for my needs!"

Dropping to her knees, the tears fill her eyes.

Weeping uncontrollably, as the day becomes night.

Then a gentle hand touches her shoulder.

She looks up but there's no one there to behold her.

She hurries back home and walks through the door. She notices a book lying on the floor.

She picks it up and opens the cover. A note inside she would soon discover.

It says, "Hello my beloved. I am yours and you are mine. I will never leave you. I am always by your side.

Don't get discouraged my child, for you see, through the tears and the pain, I will remain with thee.

I wish that my children would listen when I speak. But you, my love, remember it isn't their love that you seek.

I want to fill your heart with my love. A love that overpowers any earthly love.

A love that remains, that will never leave. A love that will last for all eternity!"

She drops the note, thinking, how could this be? How did this get here? Jesus, are you for real, is this for me?

Tears now streaming down her face once again.

Tears of happiness and sorrow for she sees her life is valued and through Him is where love began!
