THE FOLLOWING POEM WAS WRITTEN FOR THOSE WHO HAVE LOST THEIR MATE. . .


"No One Waiting"

There will be no one waiting
On the other side of that door
No one watching or anticipating
Not like there was. . . Before

You see, I know you had to leave me
You had to quickly,be on your way
Yonder, to where your spirit is free
You left, while I had so much to say

I wanted say how I'd miss you so
That no one could ever take your place
Never did I dream, so early you'd go
Leaving in my heart, an empty space

I long to hear your teasing voice
As you'd call on me, through the day
And if I were given the choice . . .
I would gladly stay, where you stay

Oh yes, there is the family, that I love
But. . .They have their lives to live
I spend my time, talking to you above
Thoughts in my heart, to you I give

When I sit down, to my evening meal
I ache so, for your company
Life has many hard times, to deal
Yet, happy memories live, inside of me

When I close my eyes at day's end
My thoughts are always upon you
All of my love . . .To you, I send
The love you left, will see me through

No, there will be no one waiting for me
On the other side of that door . . .
But the day will come, when together
"Heaven's Eternity" we will explore
