Missions
Do you ever wonder what teens do during the summer? I can tell you that a lot of them go on mission trips.
So was stuck at home basically all summer ok, sounds pretty boring. Am I right? And I heard at church that they were going to be a mission trip for teens I got pretty excited, so I asked my mom if I could go and she said if we got enough money I could go. Later I heard I could get a full scholarship to the mission trip. So I got to go on mission trip and I was ecstatic. Did I mention the mission trip was called iLive2?
So when the time came to go to the mission trip, my mom drove me to the Christian college that we were staying at. First we had to check in and get this! My shampoo, soap, and toothpaste and toothbrush were left at home. This is where God helps me out by using my mother. She drove back home and picked up the things and brought them back the next day. Thank you God for my mother, cars, and Chuck Norris, but that last thing is a story for later.
So after we checked in we found out that five different churches came. They were from Kentucky, Alabama, Louisiana, and some other states I don’t remember. We also stayed in the dorms at college.
So at the end of the week an interesting thing happened. We helped out a vacation Bible school downtown. The pastor there has a very remarkable story. Back to the story I am telling now. Me and my friends were sitting outside with a little kid at the VBS and it started sprinkling. The kids at the VBS were putting on a special show for us. My friend said “Looks like its going to rain,” and the kid said “No it’s not going to rain, we prayed that it would not.” Then my friend said “God could still let it rain,” then the kid said “Do you know who God is?” As it happened it did not rain and God kept the rain away.
So it was time to go home and I have to say it was the most rewarding time I have ever had.

Very cool! Your VBS story is awesome especially. Glad you had an incredible time. Praying it isn't a one-time thing for you.
