When heaven's books are opened
Will you find, your name inside
Or will an angel shake his head
Saying CHRIST, you have denied

What will you plead before him
As you look into his eyes
And see the grace bestowed HIM
Will you wonder then Oh Why?

As he speaks softly unto you
Son many times I tried
I stood and knocked,and knocked, and knocked
But you let me not inside

More than a few times, I did try
To get hold, of your attention
But you always gave the same reply
One day I'll take redemption

Tomorrow I will take the steps
To get my house in order
Today I've got too much to do
For company's coming over

The next time, that I stood and knocked
You told me, Go away
You let the door stay closed and locked
And looked the other way

Again I came, unto your house
But you said the same old thing
Some other day, I will reach out
And give heed unto your way

In Jesus eyes, I saw the tears
As he spoke what he said next
It makes me sad, to see you here
When your name, is not in context

As he turned, and walked away
I knew it was too late
My time had come, and I had not done
What was needed to be saved
