Where am I ?

I was curled up in a ball . I was sound asleep.
When suddenly I decided it was time for a big stretch. I stretched and I stretched and as I did this I heard a funny sound. I opened my eyes and much to my amazement my bedroom walls were falling down all around me.

The light outside of my room was so bright that I had to blink to see clearly. .

As I looked around all I could see was broken pieces of my bedroom wall. I tried to stand up but I couldn’t.

“Where am I?” I thought to myself

Then I heard the sweetest voice . I looked up and saw two very soft black eyes.. She was white as snow and instantly I knew she was my mother.

She said ” Welcome into the world my little son.”

She was so beautiful.

“Come,” she said “ you need to try to stand up.”

I wiggled and wiggled my tiny body until I was sitting .

“Now, she said,” push yourself using your feet and legs. My legs felt very weak indeed. I looked down at them. They sure were skinny.
I wondered how I would ever be able to stand up.

“Come on, little one, you can do it,” my mother said.

I started to push and push with all my might. “I did it! I did It !., I shouted.

Mother said, “Good job! Now we will go for a walk.

“Okay,” I said in my teeny little voice.

Off went down the grassy path. Soon we arrived at a place where there was a lot of water. We got closer and closer to the water.

Mother bent her head down and began to have cool drink. So I did the same. But before I drank I looked into the water.

“Who is that? “ I exclaimed as I jump back quite surprised.

“Why that is you my son,” said my mother.

“I kind of look like you .” exclaimed. “I have an orange mouth like you but I am not white.”

“You are grey because you are a baby” said mother. “You will turn white as you get bigger,” she continued.

“But mother you are so beautiful,” I said. “Will I be as pretty as you?,” I asked.

“Of course, “said mother” all of us swans are beautiful, that is the way God made us.”

“Please come closer to the water my little son, so I can teach you how to swim.”

I didn’t understand this it all . But I didn’t care because I was so happy to be with my mother .

I couldn’t imagine ever being as beautiful as
my mother. . So I just put my little feet in the water and we floated
away together.
