Out of the death-bed of darkness He saved me,
Out of a cauldron of dreadful despair;
Up to the high heights of Heaven He raised me;
Rejoicing, by faith I dwell with Him there.
Though I have trials and troubles before me,
And danger surrounds me on every side,
If my foot stumbles, He will restore me;
His Holy Spirit will comfort and guide.
How great the salvation God has provided!!
Beyond feeble notions that men might conceive;
We cling to Christ though we might be derided;
His Word is life-giving to all who believe.
Arise!! Let us keep His Light ever shining!!
Surrounded by darkness, we are not quenched;
Looking to Him as we see things declining;
He will deliver though evil's entrenched!!
"Jesus, we long for Your Kingdom's appearing,
A wonderful world where righteousness reigns;
Strengthen our hearts as we see it nearing;
Empower with truth for the time that remains."
