Of Course I Was Lonely

Because of the loneliness that I felt through my time of trials and tribulations, I indulged in things I never should have. I married wrong men, I engaged in other encounters with a few other men that only used me and I found out that I was still lonely. I would buy a new car to feel good, buy new suit after new suit, new shoes, whatever I thought I wanted to fulfill the loneliness but I was still lonely. The love I found that my grandparents told me about was the only thing that filled my joy and took away the loneliness in my heart for my parents. God will be a mother, father, sister, brother, husband, wife, son or daughter if you will allow him to be the God of your life.

When I finally figured out what was the root cause of all my problems, I talked to God and asked for help. My Father had never been a part of my early life, but then really neither was my mother. My grandmother and grandfather was my surrogate parents, they were always there. They cleaned my runny nose, changed my dirty clothes, corrected me when I was wrong, taught me right from wrong, trained me in values very much unlike those of my real parents. They wanted me to be different. They wanted me to know God and all that he would be in my life if I trusted him. Even on their dying beds they encouraged me to always remember that God would always be there for me. It was such a personal promise that it carried me through many of my pains and hurts of life.

Because of the spirit of helps that I possess, I found that slick, sly foxes use your gifts to steal from you. That is what they do when they borrow money and have no intentions of paying it back. They will get together with each other on how to get the money from you with out you knowing the true motives behind it. Sure I felt lonely and this gave me a joy to be able to help someone else that seemingly was in trouble. It is a very lonely feeling when you find out that you have been had. You cannot buy love or friendship and this walk with Jesus sometime is a lonely way. When people do not love God like you do they will never think of you before themselves. For where love is there is always a sacrifice.

Of course I was lonely but it still is no excuse to be foolish. Wake up and admit what it is that is causing you to miss God. Then ask God’s help to move forward so you will not be in bondage the rest of your life. When you will not admit your shortcomings, you will never reach the point of deliverance in your life where you can proceed in spite of with your life.

Maybe someone like me has gone through marriage, separation, and divorce. Maybe you have even been as I, a widow, but whatever your status is in this life is, it will never be compared to what your life will be in Christ when you turn your life over to him. How sweet is his compassion and love that he loves no matter what situation we are in. How great are his mercies and grace, his forgiveness, his peace, love, joy, and gentle care when we go to him in truth.

Of course you are lonely at times and will be in the future, but find your fulfillment in Christ and his goodness.
