Like the morning needs the sun
Like the evening needs the moon
Like the desert needs the rain
Like the winter needs the snow
Father, I need you.

Like the flower needs the bee
Like the leaf needs the tree
Like the ocean needs the moon
Like the eagle needs the wing
Father, I need you.

Like the horse needs the run
Like the fish needs the swim
Like grass needs the water
Like the sky needs the blue
Father, I need you.

Like the storm needs its clouds
Like the summer needs its breeze
Like a painting needs its canvas
Like the ocean needs the stream
Father, I need you.

Like the April needs its showers
Like the May needs its flowers
Like the bird needs its nest
Like the cloud needs the wind
