I was born a sinner, many years ago,
It wasn't till I turned 45, went as far as I could go,
I ended up in prison, wrong choices I had made,
But it took this fall for me to lose it all,
And start living right by faith;

My life has changed forever, forgiven by God's Grace,
From sin I've been delivered, Now Jesus calls me saint,
And as a new creation, I want the world to see,
That only Jesus Christ can take a sinner's life,
And make it just like me;

I woke up this morning, with Jesus on my mind,
The Son of God, the Light of the World,
Became the Light of my life,
Condemned to die a sinner, He saved me just in time,
That's why I woke up this morning, with Jesus on my mind...
