From one man he made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth. (Bible, Acts 17:26, NIV)
He was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed. We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all. (Bible, Isaiah 53:5-6, NIV)
God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. (Bible, 2 Corinthians 5:21, NIV)
Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. (Bible, 1 Peter 3:18, NIV)

We are united to Jesus, as we are united to Adam
So that the death of Jesus is our death and the life of Jesus is our life
Jesus has the right over His Creation
He has the right to reconcile Himself to His Creation
He loves His Creation—He died for it

Jesus did not die as a martyr
He died as a Saviour—
In many religions salvation is man-centred
But in Christianity salvation is God-centred
Our Heavenly Father worked out the plan of salvation
“…God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself,
not counting men’s sins against them.” (2 Corinthians 5:19a)
Only Jesus had the character to make the contribution necessary for salvation

He is the God-Man
He can represent the human sinner
He can also forgive the human sinner as God
If Jesus were not God then He could only pay the price for Himself
But He was sinless so His price was for SOMEONE else

Jesus has the right over His Creation
He has the right to reconcile Himself to His Creation
He loves His Creation—He died for it

God loved the world so much that He gave His only Son

...Great truth here, and clear. God died for US. He didn't die for just any old cause. WE are the cause. Praise His Holy Name. Thanks Mark. And thanks for correcting me on the understanding of your Government piece. I fully understand it now. God bless you...Helen
