AND THE LORD GOD SAID...............

What does it mean when the Bible quotes the Lord saying a thing? Shall we always regard whatever we read in the Bible in context or take it sometimes out of context because its application might be outdated, obsolete and archaic?


CAN GOD’S WORD REALLY BE OBSOLETE?


I ask this question because I heard something very strange recently
I was just reminiscing over the change in today’s environment and behavioral pattern of people compared to the time I was much younger, when, there was still a great deal of modesty in all that was done publicly, even sometimes what was done in private was done with some level of care, fear and conscience.


The outrageous display in practically all that man does, these days does not cease to amaze me, first as a Christian and secondly as a modest human being,just thinking about the adverts that are put on the television, on Billboards and Magazines,these must display some level of exposure of the human body (I mean in obscene ways!) or the other, each time I relate it to the word of God and end time prophesies and I worry quite a bit

How well can one raise children in the society of today and how does one shield them from , also for how long can one hide from them the evil that is prevalent and persistent all around us, do you hide the obscene and the bad from them for as long as possible or face it head on as soon as they are aware of their surroundings and start revealing through God’s word what is obviously not right in our environment, even though commonly accepted but it is still contrary to God’s word and the general acceptance of a thing(or things) does not make WHAT IS WRONG RIGHT.

I have come to the conclusion that it is wiser to choose the latter as the enemy has targeted this generation of children’s foundational stage as lecture grounds.


My story is based on a conversation that I had with some people recently and how our conversation naturally drifted to the Bible, I quoted some examples from God’s word concerning the issue at hand and one of us said “O! Please, let us be careful about taking VERBATIM, everything that we read from the Bible because some things do not apply to modern time any longer”.

I was dumbfounded for a few minutes before I eventually said, I assume that the Bible tells us about God’s word remaining the same forever and is applicable in all situations for instruction and all.

The reply I got from most of the group was still, ehm…, “in some situations this can be related to olden time Israel alone etc”


Well, I know that I believe what i know from God's word.

The other day my ten year old saw a particularly obscene- no-holds-bared advert (billboard) that has been on our streets for a while now, suddenly the child said, “Do they have to show a naked person just to advertise toothpaste?”

I was almost bowled over in surprise at this outburst of indignation but pleased that the thing offended the child.
I believe good seed has been sown; I pray that this keeps growing and germinates in future into righteous fruit to the glory of God.

We must not relent to help our children,learn to react as Jesus will to unrighteousness, ungodliness and outright evil.

The devil’s tricks that is so overwhelming in today’s world is to catch them young so that they do not know what choices to make between good and evil anymore(Keep them ignorant to drive them ALL to hell).

Man has already fallen into the first trap of getting out from under the shield of protection of the Almighty into UNECESSARY KNOWLEDGE

GOD SAID, in Genesis 3:22-24,
Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever (THANK GOD FOR HIS MERCY TO SAVE US FROM OURSELVES)
Therefore the Lord God sent HIM forth from the Garden of Eden, to till the ground from where he was taken.
So He drove out the MAN; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned everyway, to keep the way of the tree of life.

Verse 21;
Unto Adam also did the Lord God make coats of skins, and clothed them(Very thoughtful Father, also covering our self-displayed shame).

I mentioned the issue to someone recently of open, accepted nakedness in our adverts, clothing style and even on the streets, and we had just talked about nudist beaches and now all over the streets!
The response that I got was “please, do not just start, after all IT IS NATURAL!”.

Why then did God do what He did in verse 21 of Genesis 3, PLEASE HELP!


Is it unfolding that which we have been forewarned about that, if we are not careful, EVEN THE VERY ELECT SHALL BE DECEIVED?

Even the politicians and law makers are seen sometimes to be agents as some of them fight violently and aggressively for bills to be passed into law that are obviously wrong for humanity, the general good and out rightly demonic

It is only regular study of God’s word and regular communion with Him that can keep us and our families on track because the days are really evil and the enemy is fighting tooth and nail with all weapons at his disposal to take as many along for the eternal suffering in hell.

May the good Lord continue to strengthen us and infill us with his wisdom and discernment in Jesus mighty name.
