Acts 16:22-34

Paul and Silas were in the inner parts of the prison praying and singing
As we pray and sing, it strengthens our faith, it serves as an example to others and it opens the door for God to act.

Despite the fact that Paul and Silas were stripped , beaten and their feet placed in stocks and in the inner parts of the prison, at midnight they were not sleeping, they were praising God
An earthquake shook the foundations, the doors opened and the chains fell off the prisoners.
Acts 12:7 says an angel went into the prison to get Peter out but this time God had a different plan, God wanted to get into the jailer.

You see God needs to allow earthquakes into our lives to get our attention, He also needs to shake our foundation so that we can know where we stand in Christ.
When life is calm our foundations don't seem to matter but when crisis comes our foundations are tested.

Maybe your foundation is being shaken, maybe there is an earthquake right now in your life, but if you focus your attention on God, He can offer help in unexpected ways.
Be sure your life is built on the solid foundation of Jesus Christ.

God knows where we are because He is all knowing, but He wants us to recognize where we are.
In Genesis 3 when Adam and Eve ate the fruit and their eyes were opened and they heard God walking, they hid themselves from him. God said, Adam where are thou?
God knew exactly where Adam was but God wanted Adam to recognize where he Adam was.

God allows earthquakes to bring life into a spiritually dead situation, in this story God wanted the jailer to recognize where he was, God wanted to save him and his household.
When the jailer saw the doors were opened he wanted to kill himself.
Sometimes things happen in our lives and we don't know what to do , but God steps in.

Despite all that happened there was the miracle of the earthquake, salvation.
The greatest of all miracles.
God has a purpose for every life and he will use extraordinary means to carry out His plan, God will come into the prison to save you..
Here we see Paul and Silas taking the opportunity to share the word of God, we all need to see opportunities as they arise.This opportunity came because of their faithfulness to the gospel regardless of the persecution.

So whatever you are going through right now, God wants to break you out, God wants you to experience a jailbreak.
Many of you are in prison, locked down, no way out, bound.
Prison in your mind, emotional prison,spiritual prison, of sickness and disease, financial prison..
God wants to break you out and break you into a new life.God has to break in so that He can get in.

At the same time He wants to free those around you, those watching over you, supposedly keeping an eye on you.
When God gets ready to break you out not even the devil knows what hit him, when he realizes what happen he gets into a frenzy.
You see when God shows up the devil has to stand down
