What did go wrong?
A child screaming from pain
Was told to be strong
She screamed the words STOP!!
He knew what he was doing wrong
He kept on going
She tried to fight
Tears fell from her eyes
To survive this I have to try

A tiny voice a desperate plea
Please stop it your hurting me
She took a knife up to her skin
It’s it I’m gone I’m giving in

Why did this happen?
My vulnerability shows
If I never share then how will they know?

He told me I believed
I don’t know I guess I was deceived
He told so many lies
But then I believed

The roomers they spread
A child left alone in the dark
Now a life shattered
Torn apart

The little girl which once was me
Is now an adult breaking free
I’m trying now to face the pain
But will never be the same again

Emotions hidden, never spoken loud
He is the predator now his proud
How many children will he take advantage of
Before it’s too late?
After all I was only 8

Beware all children
This man is very bad
He took my virginity now I’m sad
I have forgiven
But still not forgotten
Those 8 years of pain
12 years later
Waiting to become well again

The days await him
I can’t go on
I don’t want this
To carry on

I will not live if he’s not gone
How can a defenseless girl
Be put in the wrong?

I really now can’t be left alone
I was hurt in a place I called my home
Do I face this on my own?

The memories the torment
Caused the scars on my skin
But no longer will I let him in
