GENESIS 6:3

AND THE LORD SAID MY SPIRIT SHALL NOT ALWAYS STRIVE WITH MAN, FOR THAT HE ALSO IS FLESH: YET HIS DAYS SHALL BE AN HUNDRED YEARS.

This topic came to me in sober reflections of God’s many mercies in my life of when I sought His face in prayers and mostly when I did not.

I was listening to my audio Bible a few days ago and the above words in the book of Genesis kept ringing back again and again and I just blurted out, THANK GOD FOR THE MERCY!

What really would we have done as the human race? After the stubborn rebellion of Adam and Eve, things no longer held together again.
We deserved to die and a new breed of ‘good’ children made fit for the master’s use.
But then we know the story of the flood, God did just that and the Bible describes it thus: it repented God that He made man, he was sorry that he had to do what He did afterwards, reason why He made the RAINBOW covenant with man, even though in my opinion, He had no reason to.
Soon as the waters abated off the face of the Earth, Noah got off the Arch and the first thing he did after giving God the glory was to plant a vineyard, make alcoholic wine and get drunk.
The rest of that story is history today as he ended up using his tongue (meant for blessing) to curse one of his sons and the generations unborn in that lineage.

The episode at Babel is no different, God scattered the tongues of men so that evil will not have a united ground in the lives of the human race but it seems that man always found a way out to BE UNITED IN THE PURSUANCE OF EVIL as we have inherited intellect from the most High,we concoct such DEEDS THAT WERE TOTAL REBELLION and against God’s laid down rules.
Colonization of lands and nations forced many countries and people to adopt the languages of the colonial masters and in many cases the culture, the mentality and traditions too (good or bad).
Also, people right across the Globe are now united on a large scale because of break-through in the world of communication, various UNIONS are being formed by agreements, in treaties,because of geographical situation of countries; one money, one language, one belief(usually meaning NO BELIEF IN A CREATOR but in evolution), ONE WORLD SYSTEM! THE NEW WORLD ORDER!

After the exodus out of Egypt ,during the experience in the wilderness till now, the CALLED children of God rebelled, followed other gods, grumbled and disobeyed but He Alpha and Omega, always looked for a way to forgive and be merciful .

What kind of love is this?

He planned it all from before the beginning, knowing fully well that man would sin.
He saved us before eternal death as a result of sinful nature.
Oh what wonder, what a display of agape love that, God Himself should die so shamefully (and of course, shamelessly) for us, he slew a lamb, shed it’s blood because the life is in the blood,to remit sins, that precious blood gave us back life.


Jesus is the ultimate display of mercy, His death and resurrection and ascension to glory made a show of principalities and powers that have taken a course of vendetta to drive us all to eternal banishment from the presence of our Father.

In all cunningness, in aggression, in subtlety and outright effrontery because of our ignorance of who we are and whose we are, the devil has sent his agents into the world ,especially into the church and the WHEAT AND CHAFF are growing together, of course we know evil is usually full of aggression and anger so the good are persecuted and forced to either accept what is bad and be against God almighty in thought deeds and interractions or die PHYSICALLY but am happy to tell you that why fear the one who can kill the flesh and not the one who can kill both flesh and soul?

Jesus said the world knows its own and loves him but you will be despised because of His name sake because He was before you also treated the same way.

He is full of mercy and He is willing to forgive and take us back into His loving bosom so long as we repent of those sins that beset and forsake ungodly ways, like the proverbial prodigal son, God pulls out all the works, Angels rejoice in heaven as a banquet is thrown in your honor.

We seat with Christ in heavenly places because of Grace but like Apostle Paul said, we must not continue in sin and expect Grace to abound
God forbid!

Receive mercy this moment and receive life eternal, it is available always because Christ is the mediator and our advocate before the Father where our accuser tries to deceive that we do not deserve mercy with all that is in our past and even present record.

Amazing Grace, oh, how sweet is the sound that saves a wretch like me!

I give Him thanks because HE IS THE KING ABOVE ALL KINGS AND THE LORD ABOVE ALL LORDS THAT AT THE MENTION OF THE NAME OF JESUS, EVERY KNEE SHALL BOW AND ALL TONGUES MUST CONFESS THAT HE ALONE IS LORD

Thank you merciful Father, for your banner over me is love.
