I have a Bee in my bonnet..........it buzzes around more and more these days, every time we as Christians get a little pious.

We all do it, me included, and often without any conscious thought. We do it every time we read about: same sex marriage, abortion, child abuse, pornography,'hit and runs' etc etc...
All of the subjects that offend both our moral nature and our Christian Walk.
First we do it in our human hearts, then in conversations with fellow Christians, and sometimes even in church.

Is there any one out there who can honestly say that they have never 'not loved' the people that commit these acts and, moreover, those who pass laws to legalize/soften some of these immoralities?

'The Word' teaches that a sin, is a sin, is a sin, and that 'all fall short', but do we really think about that in our Daily Walk?
I have caught myself out in the expression,'God will have His Day.' Of course He will, but when I have used that phrase it is in the context of Gods wrath pouring down on these offenders.
Does that speak of Love?
Have I not sinned in my heart against the very One that I try so hard to Honor, Serve and owe my Salvation to?

'Judgement is mine saith the Lord.', how often have I heard this out of context, the very act of speaking it is judgmental on our part.

We are warned over and over again throughout His Holy Word:

Matthew7:2/3.
'Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgement ye judge, ye shall be judged; and what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brothers eye, but consider not the beam that is in thine own eye?'

Romans14:10.
'But why dost thou judge thy brother? Or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? For we shall all stand before the judgement seat of Christ.'

There are so many scriptures where God clearly states......DON'T DO THIS.

Christians love the Lord, so why do we keep on doing this stuff?
We do it because we don't always see that beam in our own eye.

Sometimes we see it, but just can't move it.
I have a real stumbling block in my walk when it comes to child abuse. I am a mother, a foster mother, and teach 'at risk' children. It really gets to me when perpetrators walk free, as is very often the case, but the damaged children remain.
I see these children all the time, and know too well what they go through to pick up the pieces of their shattered little lives. It tears me up to hear what has been done to these 'innocents.'
Something we can all learn from is the way that children go on loving their abusers. Perhaps that is one of the reasons Jesus makes so many references for us to become as little children to enter The Kingdom.

Matthew5:44
'But I say unto you, love your enemies, bless them that curse you, and pray for them that which despitefully use you and persecute you;
That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven.'

I want God to brand it into my heart:
'Hate the sin, but Love the sinner.'

There is much to offend the Christian today....
but we need to be so very careful about our responses.
To strive to reach out to our 'enemies', with the Love of Jesus, and the Forgiveness and Compassion of Jesus. To be forever thankful for the Gift of Holy Grace, and to pray daily for our own hearts to become more like His .

My Bee is somewhat quieter now.
