Ephesians 2:10 For we are God's [own] handiwork or product (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live]. (Quick Amplified Bible)

This particular verse of scripture happens to be one of my favorite in all the Bible. I was thrilled when God the Holy Spirit spoke this into my spirit and prompted me to study its meaning. God has recreated us from the inside out into a new creation or creature in Christ Jesus. It is God who is the Author of this new person who lives in us.

How can anyone think that a true regenerated child of the King will ever be lost and live in enslavement to sin? How many of you out there have children? Can any one of your children ever not be yours anymore? Of course not. How many parents out there allow their children to be mean, rude, violent, disrespectful of them, lying, vulgar, or immoral without discipline to bring them back to what is right? I thought so, none.

Well, now in Christ Jesus we have been recreated into a new person and now we have a Heavenly Father. Our Heavenly Father wants what is best for us and He has shown that to us in the person of the Lord Jesus Christ and documented (in the Bible) for us how we ought to walk to please Him.

How many earthly children want to be pleasing to their parents? All of them. Well, we must desire to please our Heavenly Father by being obedient to His Word found in the New Testament. Well, you say what about the Old Testament? Well, our Heavenly Father tells us that He gave us this Testament for us to learn from the mistakes made by the children of Israel and for us not to repeat their transgressions.

God's desire for each child that He sires or Fathers into His family is to produce in them a life of holiness. Of all the many attributes of God (and they are infinite) holiness has to be at the top of the list. He had to humble Himself down to this earth in Christ to produce a new race of people that would be capable of living a life pleasing to Him and bring Him glory.

John 17:22 I have given to them the glory and honor which You have given Me, that they may be one [even] as We are one. (Quick Amplified Bible)

Sometimes we pass over these verses of scripture in our reading and do not sit back and reflect and meditate on what actually is written. Christ here says in John 17:22 that He has given His glory to us. This ought to make every new creature leap for joy continuously. We are His workmanship. We did not deserve Him or earn Him or seek Him but He sought us and made us what we are today and this was accomplished before the foundation of the world was ever lain. Man is running from Christ and His grace thinking that it will be an albatross around his neck, when Christ and His grace is a heavy burden lifter and bearer for all eternity. Christ has not simply made us better people, but He has made us brand new recreated creatures forever. Selah (Think about that!)
