10 things I love about You….

I love the way You hold me close
In my darkest, most fearful night
I love it when I fall asleep
Knowing I’ll never leave Your sight

I love Your strength pulling me out of bed
When I’m too weak to face the day
I love the promise whispered in my ear:
By my side is where You will stay

I love to feel the sun on my face
It brings warmth to my shattered heart
I love how it drives the emptiness out,
Bringing the promise of a brand new start

I love to walk and talk with You
About the pain that life can bring
Your soft reminder of the joy it can hold
Soothes the heartbreak, fear and sting

I love how You answer my every prayer
Even if it’s not going my way
I love how You always know what’s best
Your patience with my feet of clay

I love the friends and family You gave
You knew I would need them so
I love the power You gave to them
To help me with life’s every blow

I love the promises in Your word
Of infinite love and grace
This I will never understand
All I can do is: embrace!

I love how I grow in trusting You
You bring it with the passing of time
It might not look that way now,
But I know the victory is mine!

I love to know my path is decided
Your plan for me only the best
Knowing Your mighty hand is at work
Wipes away fear, and gives me rest

I love to glimpse the greatness of You
It comforts my troubled soul
It promises that You will pick me up
And make my broken heart whole….
