Lizzie had been helping grandpa for quite a long time. Things had gone well between them, then
one day Lizzie stopped her business, looked at
grandpa and began to cry. She said to herself,
"I am glad I took time now to see grandpa for
real."
Yes, we are all busy with a number of important
things and relationships, most of these are the
core of our being. What would help one to
work with everyone and everything... seeking
to see that person or event - for real.
Is life a masquerade? Do we spend much time
running away from ourselves, others, even God?
Probably, for we think much of what we do is
consequential and I am not saying regular things are not and can not be +++++. They are, however,
I would like to propose that some significant
thought be paid as to how this being of ours can
make a greater degree of difference where we go.
This can mean choosing quality over quantity.
It may involve being less anxious about time
management and more intensive about people care.
Does it take time to listen? YES
Does it take special effort to be reflective
in what one says to another - I hear you saying?
YES
Can we open ourselves up more to the people around us in understanding, acceptance, fellowship? YES
What is the nature of existence? of who we are,
of what we are made to be, of what full gift
we have to give each moment, each day, each
relationship.
It is never too late to say, I love you.
It is never too late to say, I care for you
It is never too late to say, Let's sit down
and communicate about who we are and what we
can mean to each other.
GO with the real value of yourself, GO with
the real value of those around you, GO with
the graciousness of being gracious, loving,
of significance. YEAH.
