If the "Ghost of Christmas Past",TODAY,
Should in our midst appear;
Would he be welcomed, or would he
Be looked upon with fear?
Would his clothing be the tinsel of frivolity, alone?
Would his face reflect indifference?
Would his heart be as a stone?
Or would he glow with love and hope, resembling Jesus, mild?
Aware of needs and hunger, and a lonely little child.

We cannot change the image of the "Ghost of Christmas Past,"
But can shape our "Christmas, Present" into something that will last.
Then "The Ghost Of Christmas Yet To Come," can visit and we'll be
Resolved to live a Christlike day...by giving self to Thee.
