I saw you and I saw beauty,
You lived free without any worry,
No imperfections,
you were flawless,
You loved everyone the same no more no less,

You saw right through me
and I looked up to you,
You were my hero
and you never knew,
you didn't realize
how many people were watching you,
No matter how ugly the world made you,
I still saw that beauty deep inside,
Still wanted to be near you,
Then your smile remained hidden,
You began going towards the forbidden,
So what do you do when your hero falls,
They've lost their smile,
Went away for a while,
My hero needs saving and yet I am no hero,
Start as a child again
the breeze in your hair,
The world so free
without a worry or a care,
Beauty around you everywhere,
Perhaps these heroes
here on earth are not heroes at all,
But yet people like you and me
who by themselves are destined to fall,
As I get older these heroes they begin to look so small.

Shining star I hope you see if the whole wide world is staring straight at you they can't see me. Jason upton
