Friend?

There is this guy,

from the other batch.

Who I thought was not capable,

of even spotting the catch.



He looked really different,

when I first looked at him.

I thought to myself,

That the relation between us, would be rather dim.



He is a guy,

who looks rather cool.

But even after that,

likes to act like a grown up fool!



He has a way with girls,

of mostly the wrong type,

And if he were forced to go out with one,

he would surely kill himself with a rampuri knife.



When we spoke to each other,

for the very first time,

The position of the stars,

must have been extremely fine.



We spoke to each other,

and soon realized,

That our common thoughts,

were more precious than our lives.



We used our wit,

and common fears,

To make people laugh,

in fits of tears!



Together we learnt,

to enjoy life.

And even decided,

to hit on Harish's wife!



We have written many poems,

that are better than this one.

And have also ended paragraphs,

With words like "CREAM BUN"!



All this seams so perfect,

and so full of Bliss,

But there's always this point,

which we all seem to miss.



God does not let perfect happiness,

Stay for very long,

Because soon I found myself,

all alone, lost, in the throng.



I feel like I'm drowning,

In the quick sand all bare.

When I reach out for help,

I find no one there!!



Where is our friend?

My brother in crime?

Is he just something,

at the back of my mind?



Is he just a fragment

of my imagination?

or is he busily lost,

in other happy sensations?



Darkness and sorrow,

Come into picture here.

I've almost given up.

Im not faking. I swear.



But even in the darkness,

when you find a ray of light.

There is hope.

And for that im ready to fight.



So lets all take hope,

that this ray of light,

Will stand up for us,

And make it worth the fight.



Maybe you cant see.

Maybe you see foggy.

But I hope you remember the time,

When we stood in the rain, our clothes all wet and soggy.



But this is not,

where the poem ends.

So lets take courage,

all my dear friends.



The climax scene,

is still at a lack.

Lets see if our old Nitin,

decides to come back.
