“Remember Our Troops”



Remember our troops, over in Iraq
That guard the good ‘ole . . .USA
Holiday season, they won't be back
So, remember them when you pray



Their families, they will be missing
Not sharing in the holiday fare . . .
No loved ones, for hugging and kissing
Making memories, for each to share



They won't be at the dinner table
You'll be aware of that empty chair
Trusting God . . You know He is able
Protecting, and keeping from fear




So. . . As the holiday draws near
And many loved ones, are far apart
Remember the troops, in prayer
With thoughts of them, in your heart
