The New Road

I was headed down a road…
a road to nowhere.
When someone told me…
told me about a road to somewhere.
And I listened to her words…
Words about a gathering place.
A mansion of many rooms…
rooms inhabited by believers in righteousness.
I heard about truth and absolute direction…
direction with purpose and steadfastness.
And my road to nowhere…
Well it disappeared from view.
And the path of the Creator…
it became the path to everywhere.
And the new road?
though narrow and long.
Well it led me to hope and security…
security in salvation.
And the new road, once again?
Well it became my only road.
And my focus became…
the new road and the builder who built it.
And my belief shall not waiver.
For no other road builder has built such a road…
a road to everywhere.
