A Knock At The Door

One day there was a knock at my door, the Lord said to me, come little one,it’s time to believe. As a child I dreamed that I took his hand and steered at His face with great amazement as the light radiated around him. I could feel nothing but endless grace, perfection and mercy.

At the impressionable age of 10 years old was when this surprising episode took place by a lake. Finally, I had accepted Jesus and began to stand firm on true faith. I made a promise to him that I would constantly seek his face. He showed me a beautiful garden when walking with him. The trees looked so green, and the sky shinned so brightly within. The roses were beautiful with a spectacular shade of red. Earth now had more meaning, especially as I gazed at the stars which beamed with such great splendor. To me though, it was all truly a mystery and I didn’t take the chance of trying to figure it out.

A neighbor was the one who taught me about the importance of salvation. She said that with just one prayer my sins would no longer be a complication. Over time, I realized that the Christian walk and journey has many seasons of both good and bad trials. Most of us know the reason but nonetheless, we all must hold on for a little while. She encouraged me that it’s in times like these when we must fall on bended knee and ask the Savior to intercede.

As it says in Psalm 23, The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. All that I desire is to be a part of his flock. The path of righteousness is a very long one but those that survive are the committed ones. God always wants to be first in our lives, and by doing so I hope to always have favor before I die.

If I could fly away on the wings of a dove, my goal would be to aim right towards the sun. Woe be to those that don’t accept God’s only begotten Son. As a fountain casts out water, so does Jesus forgive us of all our sins.

A guy once asked me is it true what they say “Love is the answer to a brighter day.” I told him “a heart of affection replaces one filled with deception.” So, please take a moment and accept Him.”
