World Affairs
Cancer, depression, suicide, abortion, murder, pornography, incest, rape, incurable super bugs, melting ice caps, earthquakes, famine, pollution, raging wars; the list goes on and on.
By all appearances and from human perspective the "world" looks to be a hopeless mess with a dire future. In all the confusion, is there hope?
Indeed, there is help and hope for all the hopelessness. But it will not be found in new age philosophies; nor in any other plan that man could draw up to fix the mess that is this present existence.
Never at any time has there ever been a problem with "the world". God perfected that in many countless ways; from tiniest microscopic life to the ocean tides, and especially to the magnificent makeup of the human body.
Creation was and is a masterpiece painted by the best and most passionate of artists; by God Himself. It is indeed evident that He enjoyed the thrill of His work; He Himself proclaiming it "good".
Genesis 1:24-25 24 And God said, "Let the earth bring forth living creatures of every kind: cattle and creeping things and wild animals of the earth of every kind." And it was so.God made the wild animals of the earth of every kind, and the cattle of every kind, and everything that creeps upon the ground of every kind. And God saw that it was good.
Genesis 1:27 So God created humankind in God's image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.
The responsibillity for the carnage and condition of society and the world itself stops at the feet of humankind.
From the beginning, God put a great and priviledged responsibility into the hands of people:
Genesis 1:26 Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.
He breathed His very own breath into His most valued artwork:
Genesis 2:7 then the LORD God formed man from the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and the man became a living being.
Because God loves us and values us so much, He did not choose to make man as if puppets, with strings that could pull the soul into any submissive shape He wanted it to go in.
His intention was for us to choose,of our own free will, to serve and to love Him. And no doubt His hope was that if we loved Him and were thankful for His gifts, we would care for the gifts and respect them and each other.
What the dear Lord must think when He looks down at His shattered hopes is unimaginable.
Babies thrown into trash bins, dead bodies tossed into war-ravaged streets, oceans filled with unimaginable pollution...too much greed and hatred, while not nearly enough love and compassion.
One thing is sure and certain in the sorrowful times we live in; even though the hearts of men have changed, God has not. He loves His creation just as much now as He did in the beginning.
The same breath which awakened the life of Adam still blows today.
Look at the wind in the treetops; God is there. See the sails on the sailboats billowing and the waves crashing into the shoreline? They are propelled by God's sighs.
If there is any blame to be laid anywhere for the state of existence today it is to be found squarely within heart of the human race.
If there is to be substantial change and reversal of all the worries of the earth, it must come from within. God will help us, but He will never force us to do His will and to obey the plans He so carefully prepared.
God loves man still, and His love is bottomless and free; just like a gift. Although He must grieve tremendously over what He sees, He is ready to offer Hope and a brighter future.
Isaiah 1:18-19
18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:
The cure for the problem is the breath of God. It still blows today. It is the balm that will cool the fires of life.

I can't say I share all of the beliefs expressed here as there are some major statements made that have no basis in scripture. Which I'd highly recommend you look into, i.e. the scriptures make no mention of the "wind" being God sighing; which to me sounds as if He is not in control. Also, to say that He is "up there" isn't something He's said, after all, He is Emmanuel, "God with us" and promised to never leave us and so it goes. I think you get the point. Also, there are some malapropisms in a couple of your paragraphs. Meaning that although a certain word sounds right to an author, it is not the appropriate word for that particular sentence. Said simply; it interrupts the tempo of the article. Take heart and keep writing. I've received what I thought to be a harsh critique myself and looking back, I am thankful.
