I bless your name Father
I thank you everyday for my children
Had it not been for your mercy and grace
For this hard task I could not face
Wathing them grow and looking into their eyes
Let's me know it is all worth the compromise
Oh their innocence, Oh so sweet
Their little kisses are like a candy treat
I thank you Father for keeping them safe
Every night I pray that Jesus covers us with his blood all through this place
Their smiles warm your heart and then they make you laugh
God's blessings are so abundant that you can feel his wrath
And when it's all said and done and your day comes to a close
You watch them sleep as you lean over to kiss their little nose
As you tuck them in, you confirm that Jesus has rose
He lives in their actions, that are so sweet and mild
For this is the innocence of your child
