Don't look at me because I'm crying

Don't look as if I'm lost

I've got it all together

In a package of green moss



Cirulcued and dyed

Like the threads of my life

Tangled and misplaced

At the crossroads of strife



I don't have to understand my life

I just have to live it

The best that I know how

Without remorse in it



You don't have to like me

I don't care if you hate me

I just wish you wouldn't laugh

When I'm drowning in mockery



Soaked to the dirt

Matted and muddied

This package of moss

Is collected and studied



The findings are old news

The results are so small

The truth is in my heart

As my life stands tall



I am washed and preened

Trimmed and brushed

Happiness is a choice

There is no rush



Lay me out to dry

Let me grow new roots

Remember my special smile

When I wear golden boots



Green turns to gold

Life endures death

My waking and sleeping

Is marked a single breath
