You don’t know how or why,
My heart reaches towards the sky,
This is my battle cry,
I lift up my hands very high.

I have my goals,
I’ve reached and achieved,
And that’s my spiritual soul,
I sing what I believe.

I sing for my King,
I’m thankful of what He brings,
This is my battle cry,
God twinkles in my eyes.

On my guitar, I strum the chords,
Let me sing the melodies for the Lord,
This is my battle cry,
He opened so many doors.

I gaze upon the night,
I gaze upon His beauty sight,
His candles are bright.

This is my battle cry,
I gaze upon the night,
You don’t know how or why,
But this is just my battle cry.
