Blueness

Weakened and weeping; on the plank
In the darkness …chained to sorrow
I jump into the blueness
Of tomorrow.

Defeated, wounded and broken
The mirror shows my enemy
I find it hard to breathe …
Who will help me to again believe
That the clouds of smoke will clear
And blueness shall soon disappear?

My lamp has no more oil
And no one seems to have
Any drops to spare
I exist in a cruel world
Too big to care about
My fragile welfare.

I find it hard to breathe…

Psalm 109 :22 For I am poor and needy,
and my heart is wounded within me.

I suppose everyone gets into a state of Blueness now and then, even Christians. We aren't exempt. Satan likes to throw us into depression now and then. I don't often become depressed, but I was this morning. It didn't last long. I committed it to Christ. I don't know what brings it on, but it happens. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and talent...Helen

It literally hurts my heart to know that so many of God's precious ones live in the place you have described. When one of these has no oil left to keep the light of Jesus burning, may I be right there to fill that cup knowing He will provide for me as well when I am the one lacking! Together we are bound and made strong into the One Body of Christ. Blessings to you, Julie!

Psalm 139:11-12

"11 If I say, "Surely the darkness will overwhelm me,
And the light around me will be night,"
12 Even the darkness is not dark to You,
And the night is as bright as the day
Darkness and light are alike to You.
