It's sometimes hard for us to know
If we are being true

To our Lord and Saviour
In the things we sometimes do

If we aren't being faithful
To our God in all our ways

His spirit will convict us
And inspire us to change

For we are not all knowing
And His Glory we fall short

We have to learn our lessons
Cause through Jesus we were brought

Back in to right relationship
With God in Heaven above

He shapes us and refines us
With his never failing love

He puts us through our paces
And he often tests our faith

We call upon his strength
And by His mercy we are safe

We sing His name in worship
And His Spirit fills us up

With all His Holy goodness
Like an overflowing cup
