In life, it makes a difference whom you run with.
In death, it will make a difference in the Immortality of the witness (and influence)...
of your life.

The Scriptures are numerous on 'Walking with God'.
Here are a few:
1) Proverbs 3:5-6:
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not unto your own understanding.
In all of your WAYS, acknowledge Him and He will direct your path."

2) Psalms 37 teaches us that 'God's WAY is':
Vs. 3 - a WAY of 'trust in the Lord and do good'.
Vs. 4 - Delight in His WAY
Vs. 5 - Commit your WAY to Him
Vs. 7 - Rest (let the weight of your life down on the Lord) and Trust His WAY
Vs. 9 - Wait on the Lord - Run with Christ, not ahead of Him!
Vs. 23 - The Steps (and Stops) of a good person are ordered by the Lord
Vs. 34 - Wait on the Lord and keep His Ways - He is The Shepherd Who leads the WAY (Ps. 23)

3) Isaiah 30:7: "Your strength is to sit still".
Isaiah 30:15: "In quietness and confidence shall be thy strength".
The Israelites had to learn this lesson at the Red Sea.
What was ahead of them, was too big for people, but not too big for God.

4) Psalms 46:4 (Old Age)
"I am He and even to your grey hairs (or no hair) I will carry you and will deliver you".

5) In John 14:6 Jesus said,
"I am the Way, the Truth and the Life....follow Me and the Father will receive you".

I love the old song, 'Trust and Obey'. The 1st verse says:

"When we walk with the Lord in the light of His Word
What a glory He sheds on our way!
Let us do His good Will: He abides with us still
And with all who will Trust and Obey.
Chorus:
Trust and obey for there's no other way
To be happy in Jesus, but to Trust and Obey".

Fanny Crosby (1820-1915) wrote many hymns.
She was blind most of her life, yet walked with God.
She wrote:
"Oh what a happy soul I am. Although I can not see,
I am resolved that in this world, contented I shall be."

A big part of her life (and should be our's) was the leadership of The Holy Spirit.

For sometime before His Crucifixion, Jesus taught His Disciples about The Holy Spirit.
He taught about the Fruits, Guidance, Presence and Supplies for the Journey of Life. (John 16:7-17)

One writer calls The Holy Spirit "The most effective Agent in human life!"

A songwriter put it this way:
"Walking in sunlight (Holy Spirit and Word of God)
All of our journey, over the mountains and through the deep vale.
Jesus has said, 'I'll never forsake thee, Promise Divine that never can fail".

CONCLUSION:
While on medical furlough from our mission work in Korea, we were asked to sing at Falls Creek Baptist Assembly here in Oklahoma.
The song we sang was 'His Way, Mine'....
(Words/Music by Evangelist brothers, Dick and Bo Baker)

"God has a place for every planned Creation...
A path for every star to go.
He drew the course for every river's journey...
Now I know He has a way for me

He counts the sand on every Island seashore
And turns the tide with hands above.
The wind, He beckons into changing motion...
With His love, He gives each blossom birth.

Now, in His will my soul finds life worth living...
Each day new blessings from above.
Tho' shadows come and valleys seem unending...
Still I know He makes a way for me.

I place my life in the hands of God....
Those hands so scarred now out-stretched for me.
Wherever it may be...over land...over sea,
May Thy will sublime, Oh Thou God Divine, be mine."
