He took those many precious steps
From a cold dark lonely tomb
A King arose from within those walls
To save this world from ruin

Steps of Love He took for us
But yet they knew him not
Steps of Grace and forgiving Love
His precious blood has brought

In those loving steps He took
With you and I in mind
He gave His life, this King and Lord
For many who were blind

But when He walked that glorious day
From a cold and lonely grave
Oh what wonderful steps to me
For my life, His life he gave!

Now its time to step up for Him
come running to our King
He is waiting for us so patiently
Give the Angels reason to sing!

Long and lonely difficult steps
He walked for His Fathers plan
Couldn't you take a few for Him
For this life holds sinking sand!

I pray God open the eyes of all
To see His plans for them
That not one would leave this life alone
and all would ask Him in.

The gift of Grace from a merciful King
Given freely to all who'll receive
life so wonderful walking with Him
the day that we believe!
