Sitting in a chair, the sun beats down upon me
like water falling from a shower turned on forcefully.

The chair's arm feels cool
like an ice cube.

It is shiny
like a brand new dime.

Birds are chirpping a sweet song
like a soft melody played on a flute.

Cars pass by quickly changing gears
like scales fingered on a bass viol.

A soft breeze brushes pass my face
like a hand as it strokes a kitten's fur.

Snow is heard dripping from a chair
like a leaky faucet.

A door just closed
like a drum roll.

The air is fresh and clean
like the spring rain.

Five minutes have dashed by
like a runner running a race.
