The functions of the Holy Spirit are essential to the Christian
Many Christians only want to use Him for power (for themselves)
But God knows the hearts of men
Men enjoy been high and mighty for their own glory
Men only look to the Holy Spirit for miracles (power) and
Neglect the aspect of fellowship with Him
This is the same way that many treated Jesus when He walked the planet
They only wanted great things from Him

We must be led by the Holy Spirit
He does not take over our lives but He guides us
He governors our lives by our choice and
Makes us more like Christ so that
Christ can be poured out of us in our territory

The Holy Spirit is our Counselor (Jn. 14:25)
He is everything to us and I love Him

Christians have made a mistake by only wanting
The Holy Spirit for power and not really loving Him (Jesus)
They want miracles but not Jesus
I see some of these guys on television
Some of them where white suits
Some of them are so deep in sin that
That the devil has become their spirit

We must be led by the Holy Spirit
He does not take over our lives but He guides us
He governors our lives by our choice and
Makes us more like Christ so that
Christ can be poured out of us in our territory


Characteristics of the Holy Spirit

1. Assuring us (Eph. 1:14)
2. Glorifying Christ (Jn. 16:14)
3. Supplying power (Acts 1:8)
4. Speaking through us (Mk. 13:1)
5. Speaking to us (Jn. 16:13)
6. Bearing witness in us (Rom. 8:16)
7. Helping (Rom. 8:26)
8. Interceding (Rom. 8:26)
9. Comforting (Jn. 14:16)
10. Convicting (Jn. 16:8)
11. Teaching (Jn. 14:26)
12. Reminding (Jn. 14:26)
13. Testifying of Christ (Jn. 15:26)
14. Guiding (Jn. 16:13; Rom. 8:14)
15. Revealing (Jn. 16:14; Lk. 2:26))
16. Giving spiritual gifts (I Cor. 12:4, 11)
17. Regenerating (I Cor. 12:3)
18. Confirming our salvation (Eph. 1:13)
19. Producing His fruit in us (Gal. 5:22) etc.
