Poetry
Easter
Jesus willingly gave His life
To save us from this world’s strife.
He was flogged, spat upon, and scourged
So that all of our sins could be purged.
The agony that he sustained that day
Was the debt He had to pay.
On the third day He arose from the dead.
So that death we need not dread.
If to Him our lives we give
All of our sins He will forgive
So that we can go to Heaven
Free from sin and forgiven.
