Out of the darkness
Fighting its way through.
Running for It
Or is It running for you

The Light (2x)
Helping you fight
The Light (2x)
Blinding their eyes
The Light

Persecuting Christians
Left and Right
Saw many things
Like Stephen's plight
Got your orders
You got a date
Going to Damascus
You will be late

Almost there
You found the town
Then a light
Struck you down
What you gonna do
Can't even see
With the Savior there
Get on your knees

Chorus

Why are you persecuting Me,
Saul, my dear brother?
I am God's only Son
There is no other
I am the truth
I know your strife
Go to Damascus
I will lead your life

The men stood frozen
Like they saw a ghost
Saul stood speechless
He saw the Heavenly Host
Went to Damascus
With different plans
Had to sit and wait
For his instructions

In a vision
The Lord came to Ananias
Go to Straight street
Don't be so pious
Ask to talk to Saul
Waiting for you
Don't wait to long
There are plans for him too

Oh Dear Lord,
You don't know this man
He can kill me
Without moving a hand
He will just move his finger
And I that would be all
But Ananias couldn't see
What Saul saw

Ananias departed
Trusting in the Name
Entered the house
To heal Saul's shame
Met the man
Laid hands on his head
You are healed by Love
By a Savior who is not dead

Baptized in the Spirit
Regain your sight
Accept Jesus as Lord
Stand up and fight
In an instant
He regained his view
Proclaimed Jesus name
For others to choose
