Where is –Wisdom- to be found?



There is a place for Silver and a place for Gold where it is refined.

Iron comes from the earth and copper is smelted from the stone ore.



Man sets an end to darkness and searches out the depths of the ore buried in the darkest gloom and deep darkness.



Men break open shafts- far from people and their homes- forgotten by human foot; and descend into them hanging afar from men, they swing or flit to and fro.



As for the earth, out of it comes our bread and under the earth as deep in a mine- there is fire!



Its stones are the bed of sapphires; it holds dust of gold-which he wins.



This path- no bird or prey knows- neither the falcon’s eye have seen!

The proud beasts and their young have not trodden this path nor the fierce Lion passed over it.



Man puts his hand to the flinty rock; He overturns (blasts) the mountains by the roots.

He cuts out channels and passages among the rocks and his eye sees every precious thing.



He binds the streams so that they do not trickle into the mine and the thing that was hidden he brings forth to the light.



But where shall wisdom be found? And where is the place of understanding?

Man knows not the price of it neither is it found in the land of the living.



The deep says it is not in me- and the sea says it is not in me.



WISDOM cannot be purchased for Gold, neither Silver be weighed for the price of it.



It cannot be valued in terms of the precious gold of Ophir, or the Onyx or beryl or the Sapphire.



Gold and Glass cannot equal wisdom- nor can it be exchanged for jewels or vessels of fine gold.



Not to mention the value of Coral- or of Crystal for the possession is even above Rubies or Pearls!



The Topaz of Ethiopia cannot compare to - nor can it be valued in pure Gold.

From where then - does WISDOM come? And where is the place of understanding?



It is hid from the eyes of all living and knowledge of it is hid from the birds of the heavens



Abaddon (the place of destruction) and death say, We have only heard of the report of it (Wisdom is with God alone)



For God understands the way to wisdom- and He knows the place of it for WISDOM is with God alone.



For He, looks to the ends of the Earth, and sees everything under the heavens. When He gave to the wind weight or pressure, and allotted the waters by measure;



When He made a decree for the rain, and a way for the lightning of the thunder;



Then He saw WISDOM and declared it, yes, and searched it out for His own use, and He alone possessed it.

But to man -He said- Behold the reverential fear of the Lord, that is WISDOM and to depart form Evil that is understanding!

Job: 28: 1-28

Proverbs: 3: 13-16



Happy- blessed- fortunate - enviable is the man/woman who finds skilful and Godly WISDOM and the man who gets understanding- drawing it from GOD'S WORD and life’s experience!



For the gaining of it, is better than the gaining of Silver, and the profit of it- than fine Gold.



Skilful and Godly WISDOM is more precious than rubies and nothing you can wish for - can be compared to it!



Length of days is in her right hand, and in her left hand are riches and honour.



Her ways - are highways of pleasantness - and all her paths are PEACE.
