paying all this attention
to those OTHER places!

America's BEAUTIFUL!

"Fruit,

"Well; yeah, Lord.
(Peer up at air conditioning vent.)

like to talk about it:
the fruit, and all."

"Hey, and there's

Grand Canyon!

"I know, My beloved."

"Yes, child."

"I don't know, Lord!
I'm so CONFUSED!

Did YOU make it?
Or did JESUS?
Or, did the
Holy SPIRIT?"

[GENTLE SMILE.]

[SMILE. NOD.]

"I'm calmed down now,
Lord. (Sigh.) I just
had to vent."

"Hey, LORD?"

"Well, I just had to ask.
'Cuz, You know Lord;
it's a beautiful land.
And, a lotta people
love it, Lord,
with a big ache
in their hearts."

"I know, child.
[BIG SILENCE.]
