Author requests article critique

You led me away, from that cold dark place. You showed me a life I never would have even fathomed. You gave many chances to run away again. Yet you brought me out of darkness. I am a shadow of my former self. I am no longer afraid of the evil one, who tempts my heart with lustful thoughts. I know that my victory came with a price. You led me from that cold, dark place that was within the dark corners of my heart. I am now able to stand with you my Lord.
