On the tree at Golgatha
He took our sin upon Himself,
Giving us a way back to the Father
Oh! The pain He must have felt!


As He drew His last breath
That day at Calvary,
He said, “Father, forgive them;
They don’t know and cannot see.

I am Jesus the Christ.
My love will always be.
I pray for the ones
That my Father’s drawn to me.
I will always love you,
No matter what you do,
For you are in me,
And I am in you.


Through my death and resurrection
And the words of my disciples,
There are those who will hear and
Believe I am He!
I have come to set you free and
Help you up again,
for what’s possible for me is
impossible for men!


Yes! I am Jesus the Christ,
the Son of God above.
On that day at Calvary
Was to prove how much I loved!
Yes, I am Jesus the Christ.
My love will always be.
For I am in you
And you are in me!”
