I'M GONNA BELIEVE SOMEDAY

I'm gonna believe someday
Was the response of the little lad
After hearing the gospel preached
And feeling a little sad

Years had passed so swiftly
Almost unbelievable it seemed
Now that little lad
Had grown into a teen

I'm gonna believe someday
Said the teenager now
But I've got my own agenda
I'll get around to it somehow

I'm still young you know
So I'll have lots of time
And like I've told you before
I'm gonna do it sometime

Years passed by so swiftly
How well we know it can
Now the lad and teenager
Has finally become a man

I'm gonna believe someday
In that story told
But I have a few more years
Before I feel I'm old

It's still on my agenda
Before from earth I pass
To believe that gospel message
But I'll leave it until last

Death came knocking early
On gonna believe Someday's door
It took him from his ease on earth
To the portals of hell's shore

Now it's fire and brimstone
Gnashing of the teeth
Now it's forever torment
To someday I'll believe

Satan as that lion
Seeks whom he may devour
Believe on Jesus Christ today
Don't be doomed like Someday's hour!
