Lord, its that time of year
When we remember, your loss
It, brings sadness, and a tear
Thinking of you, on that cross

Through your dying, you gave life
You sacrificed yourself for all
It cuts me, like an invisible knife
Knowing many Angels stood near
Yet, for “ Help” you did not call

Asking Your Father, to forgive
Thinking only. . . of us, till the end
Even now, you look at how we live
And blessings, you continually send

You hung there, watching the crowd
They cast lots . . .for your robe
Was the jeering and yelling, so loud
Your ears felt the pain, lobe to lobe

Was your heart pounding so hard
And, was the pain . . . horrifying
As your Mother watched, her Son
Hanging on that cross, dying

I wonder, if people can imagine
What you had to endure that day
Becoming a Sacrifice, for our sin
To gain Heaven. . . Paving our way

We can't begin to understand. . .
The depth of your love, so real
As each nail, pierced your hand
Not comprehending, how it would feel

Yes, Lord. . . It is that time again
To give Praise for all you have done
Because, many souls . . You did win
That's why God sent You, His only Son

I thank you Lord, for dying for me. . .
An being my Advocate, on “Judgement day”
I pray all the people, in the world can see
You are the Light, The Truth, and The Way!

This poem is very nicely written. Surely it brings honor to the Lord and is a sweet smelling savor to Him.
