In Vain

I feel so vain and unrestrained
My emotions are running unchained
The soul inside me is welling
All I can do is start rebelling

Love fills the mind with strife
Which is true in my life
To be loved is what we want
But this is what I always flaunt

I want something better something more
But all this life can offer me is war
Fighting it night and day I do ,
These feelings that are because of you.

Why can’t I let it all go
Leaving all behind me at the door
Today I want to be free
Of all the sadness you have caused me

Never to look back in the past
These feelings to leave me at last
Your face will haunt me forever
The memory will never be severed

I am bound to live every day
Remembering you this I pray
For this I hope to be remembered
By you my sweet, sweet November.
