Dear Pastor,
Don’t be discouraged weary Shepherd
By a thoughtless, careless, or unkind word.
I feel your sorrow and pain,
When one of the flock grumble or complain.
Remain faithful to the Call.
Hold your head high and walk tall.
You are not alone.
Through every trial you have grown.
Your effort is not in vain.
Every hardship (on my account) brings gain.
Don’t grow faint or lose heart,
Now, you only know in part.
Today’s toils are but a mist, a shadow, and a vapor
Soon to be history like the headlines of today’s paper.
You have a mission to complete,
No time to stumble or retreat.
When Satan launches his attack.
Remain strong and stay on track.
There is still a race to run
And victories to be won.
I have made you My Choice
To demonstrate my love and speak my voice
Take courage from those who’ve gone before
And remember that I keep the score.
