IT WAS A WEDNESDAY EVENING, SPRINGTIME. I WAS WALKING HOME FROM CHURCH FROM THE WEDNESDAY EVENING SERVICE WHEN AN OVERWHELMING SADNESS AND DARKNESS SEEMED TO INGULF ME. I FELT SO DIRTY. WHEN I REACHED HOME I WENT TO MY ROOM, PREPARED FOR BED, PICKED UP A BOOK (system bible study) THAT HAD THE TEACHINGS OF JESUS IN SUBJECTS. I HAD BEEN READING THIS BOOK FOR SOMETIME, BUT MOSTLY JUST TO HAVE SOMETHING TO READ. THIS EVENING WAS DIFFERENT. I READ A BIT...THEN WITHIN MY SPIRIT I SAID "GOD, IF YOU ARE REAL, I WANT TO KNOW IT BEYOND THE SHADOW OF ANY DOUBT THAT I HAVE BEEN CLEANSED AND SAVED" I TURNED THE LIGHT OUT, CLOSED MY EYES, AND I IMMEDIATELY FELT 2 FINGERTIPS TOUCH MY FOREHEAD, HEAT WENT THRU ME FROM THE TOP OF MY HEAD TO THE SOLES OF MY FEET. I WAS 16 YEARS OLD AND THIS STARTLED ME I OPENED MY EYES AND JESUS STOOD IN THE CORNER OF MY ROOM WITH HIS ARMS OUTSTRETCHED TO ME. OHHHHH, HIS COMPASSIONATE BLUE EYES, AS IF YOU COULD SEE ALL THE WAY THRU ETERNITY. HE SMILED AND A PEACE I HAD NEVER KNOWN FLOODED MY BEING. NEEDLESS TO SAY....I WAS BORN AGAIN.

footnote: to anyone reading this. Please do not think one has to have this type of experience to be born again. For years I would not share this because I thought people would think I was nuts. I have learned through the years that God deals with each individual at their point of need. Just know that you are a very special person in the eyes of GOD and HE loves you so much; more than we will ever grasp. Perhaps the Lord will allow me to share other experiences I have had with HIM at a later time.
