Guess I woke up today
a little underwhelmed.
Cause I figured out
it wasn’t me sittin at the helm.
I guess you could say
I hate lookin at the dawn
gotta leave this fairy tale
cuz I hate not being the swan

Guess I woke up today
feelin a bit consumed.
But there’s not enough make up
and sure not enough perfume.
I guess you could say
I hate looking at the dawn
gotta leave this fairy tale
cuz I hate not being the swan

Can you cut me so you can’t see what I see?
The mirror’s cruel today please stop looking at me
Draw those pencil marks and cut away the excess
I wasn’t made out right help me clean up this mess

Guess I woke up today
feelin too much pressure
I don’t want to be a measuring stick
by which you all can measure
I guess you could say
I hate looking at the dawn
gotta leave this fairy tale
cuz I hate being the swan
