The movie "M*A*S*H" was a tremendous success when it hit the silver screen in 1970. It was such a good situation, material for lots of entertainment, that it spawned a TV series, just as some earlier WWII movies had. The TV series MASH ran for 11 years, and had a character carried over from the movie with the same actor playing it.

In one episode of the TV series, the doctors examined the newly arrived wounded soldiers. It was determined that one soldier was so badly injured that he was soon to die. Having decided this, the doctors decided one of his organs could be put in the body of another soldier who needed that organ. A third soldier heard this conversation and protested loudly.

The surgeries went just as planned, and the living soldier was given the dying soldier's organ. Then the chaplain visited the third soldier concerning his complaint. He said that the dying soldier, a commanding officer in his unit, sounded like the type who would dive on a grenade, and give up his life to save the other soldiers in his unit. The soldier said, " yes, he would." The chaplain then said, "he just did".

Jesus jumped on a grenade for you. What are you gonna do about it?
