Mar 4:11 And he said unto them, Unto you is given the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all things are done in parables:
It is so sad today to see that those who call themselves by the name of Christ do not see nor hear, that even as the word is given to them they soak in every word because it comes from their favorite Pastor or teacher. But they are not really hearing truth, from some.
And many follow after their own Pastor as if he was a god, this is very common in the church, it is idol worship. Instead of following Christ alone.
I recently turned on the TV to see if there was any truth given from the pulpit today.
And I heard a lot of positive confessions and how to possess the land, and I heard a lot about what happened in the Pastors family, I heard how we can overcome, but it was told from the intellect from what had been taught of man, or I just heard Pastors saying nice things and the pews were overflowing with people, and I didn't hear any real scripture read from the pulpits or any thing taught from the scriptures, not about the blood, not about the cross not about repentance. No correction.
I heard that if we are no longer passionate for Jesus any longer or no longer have fire for the gospel it is because we are growing mature, we do not need to jump up and down and praise God.
Now what is amazing is everyone’s head was bobbing with agreement, I could see them saying amen amen.
I think that it would not matter what the Pastor was saying they would say amen and agree.
And when I have heard people use scripture as their text they often will add their own ideas and words which the scripture was never saying, nor even inferred to be saying.
I am saying much of the church who call themselves by the name of Christ do not have ears to hear and eyes to see, or they would know that they are not getting fed. They are not getting LIFE, the bread of life, they are getting false fire, a mixture, moldy bread.
The word of God is spiritual it is not physical.
Joh 6:63 It is the spirit that giveth life; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I have spoken unto you are spirit, and are life.
Joh 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship in spirit and truth.
Jesus told the story of the sower as a parable knowing that many would not understand it, but it is those He chose that were given the mystery's of God.
Mar 4:11 And he said unto them, Unto you is given the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all things are done in parables:
Mar 4:12 that seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest haply they should turn again, and it should be forgiven them.
Much of the gospel is veiled from those who do not have ears to hear and eyes to see. Those who are playing church and think they are saved from hell because they said a prayer, are hearing things that tickle their ear, that glorifies man not God, because it doesn't come from the Sprit of God but from books, and some even go to Sermon.net to get their messages.
Of course many have come to Christ because they were told they would go to hell if they didn't, but that is not why the Lord wants to bring people into His kingdom, he wants to live His life in and through us, and yet this is in no way being taught in the pulpit.
This is how He would live if He was walking among us, but He cannot do this if we do not give Him our will and life. We would have all victory if we would just recognize that the Holy Spirit lives in us.
Col 1:27 to whom God was pleased to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
Christ is the bread of life, we are to eat of Him, not watered down intellectual messages that do not do a thing for the growth of the believer, is it any wonder that we see milk being taught instead of meat? But it really is not milk because it in no way resembles the bible in some church bodies. This was very true in most of the television sermons I heard.
The messages are intended by the Lord to come from the Spirit of God, he knows exactly what He wants His people to hear that day.
How many come to church with their bible in hand, not too many as the word that is given it isn't often required of them.
I know if the Pastor is not giving a word from the text, wouldn't it be a good idea to check and see what you are being taught, lining it up with the word of God. Take your bible and see for yourself do not let little things be added to the meaning of the text.
We are all to come to the knowledge of God and in the unity of the faith, but the Spirit is often no where to be found in most congregations. So how are we to be in unity of the faith? if it doesn't line up with the word of God and all come from different teachings that have come from man, when we are not all lined up with His word and truth? There are no private interpretations which is what we so often see.
You see the divisions and denominations are because it is mans teaching not the Lord's. If we are one in the Spirit we will be in unity. But we cannot ever be one in the Spirit without having eyes to see and ears to hear when the Spirit is speaking rather then man.
Gal 1:12 For neither did I receive it from man, nor was I taught it, but it came to me through revelation of Jesus Christ.
The Lord gave everything in parables to the Pharisees and Sadducee’s because they did not have the Spirit of God and could not understand what He was saying. It is more like reading between the lines rather then as it is read on the page. To many the bible is just words with no life, a story, something that they have to figure out the meaning or their Pastors and teachers do it for them.
This idea is so far from the truth, because everything we need to know is by the Holy Spirit, He is our teacher. The word of God is alive and powerful and it divides the soul from the spirit, sharper then a two edged sword and it actually can discern the thoughts of the heart.
Heb 4:12 For the word of God is living, and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and quick to discern the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Everything Paul got, he got by revelation in the back side of the desert, same with John the Baptist. What they got from the Lord was not a dead word but alive, and you have to have eyes to see the truth, not as it is interpreted by man but by God. If you do not understand the word pray for the Lord to illuminate the word. Don't go by your own interpretation or mans. Every day pray for the Spirit of revelation, knowledge, understanding, wisdom, and discernment.
You know it is by the Spirit when it makes you grow, it makes you want to change, if it speaks to your heart about something, a sin or something you need to do, that is how He works, he corrects and He chastises as well by the word that He sends forth.
The message that goes forth is not for entertainment, not for warm fuzzies so you feel good about yourself but it should in some way bring truth, or conviction, and inspire you to change your ways. That is of the Holy Sprit.
Sometimes people will say that was a good message but it was a good story rather then causing one to change their way of doing things. A powerful word of the Holy Sprit is not forgotten when you get up on Monday, it stays in your heart to continue working.
One very important things that is being ignored is the warnings of God through the prophets, people do not want to hear warnings, they want to have their ears tickled, but God always tells His prophets what He will do before he does, so that they will warn the people.
God wants a holy people that are set apart unto him alone. he wants us to walk in holiness and purity, he wants us to have died to the things of the flesh. he wants us to repent from where we first fell away, from losing our first love.
But the people do not want to hear this word.
Look at this scripture in the old testament.
Zec 7:11 But they refused to hearken, and pulled away the shoulder, and stopped their ears, that they might not hear.
This is what we are seeing today, the people have been warned by many prophets but few have listened, and now we hear silence to some extent, because the people are not walking in the word of God or warnings of God that has been given to them in this hour.
Oh the Lord has given me many words but they were for my own edification and not for the body who has stopped their ears to the truth.
Rev 3:15I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
Rev 3:16 So because thou art lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spew thee out of my mouth.
Rev 3:17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and have gotten riches, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art the wretched one and miserable and poor and blind and naked:
Rev 3:18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold refined by fire, that thou mayest become rich; and white garments, that thou mayest clothe thyself, and that the shame of thy nakedness be not made manifest; and eyesalve to anoint thine eyes, that thou mayest see.
So to some who do not have eyes to see and ears to hear. He is telling them to allow themselves to go through difficult times, of tribulations so they might be made as gold tried in the fire of affliction, and to cover their nakedness with white garments meaning being covered with righteousness. That means that we are naked if we are not walking in holiness. For many it will be too late, they are too caught up with the things of the world and do not want to change.
So He is telling us to put on the white garment of holiness of Christ righteousness. And to put eyesalve on our eyes so we can see truth.
The anointing of the eyes is vision given by the Holy Sprit, of discernment of wisdom, knowledge, understanding and revelation but if we cannot see we are the blind leading the blind.
Jesus knew that many would not see the truth, they developed their own idea of the gospel along the way, Changing here and there things they thought would not be important, or to make some new or church denominational doctrine.
You see those who are prosperous and have need of nothing, are lukewarm to God, that they are neither cold nor hot but only lukewarm, they have no fire for God no hunger for His Presence. He said He will vomit those out of His mouth. For those who are mainly into the things of this world and possessions, and not rich toward God.
So these people refuse to listen, they refuse to hear and see, they have a form of godliness but deny the power thereof, and he will vomit them out of His mouth because they are not on fire for God. they are mouth professors.
There is power in the word of God, but you see so many want to get the glory rather then give it to God.
There is power to change lives, power to grow and edify a Christian and bring them into the unity of the faith. There IS power in the Word to heal, POWER to bring to manifest the things of God, but this power comes from the Holy Sprit of God. So you need Him active and powerful in your pulpit and the word of God coming from Him alone.
Do you want a mediocre Christian life, that only does the works of men or a life that is following Christ in name only, or do you really want the Lord? If you do, you need to seek His face not listen to the teachings of man that come from head knowledge. You need to seek God and all he has for You, to seek Him for truth, to seek Him for more of His Spirit, the fullness of the Spirit, you need to give your will and life over to him.
It isn't about works, it is how much we love, because when we face the Lord we will be judged by how much we have loved God and our neighbors, not giving lips service, and doing our Christian life as works rather then giving real LIFE to others. He wants us to sincerely love each other and Him.
Each time we love with the love of Christ we are transferring life to them, for Jesus is the way the truth and the life.
It is about How much of His oil do we have? The more oil we have the more of the Holy Sprit we have in our life.
So when the ten virgins went out to meet the Lord five had filled their lamps with the oil of the Holy Spirit, and five did not. We need oil to be lights to the world, and Jesus is going to look to see how much light we are to the world, and since He is light and if we do not have His light in us we are not in His image and we cannot be a light to the world without the oil of the Holy Spirit.
When He comes He will look to see how much light is coming from us. He is light and their is no darkness in Him, so light is without darkness.
How do you stand up under His scrutiny as he looks to see how much light you are shining in the world. The five oil less virgins didn't go in with the Lord to the supper of the lamb that is something to ponder.
They had not filled their lamps with the oil of the Holy Spirit. They were not prepared when He came.
The door was shut to them.
Mat 25:11Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.
Mat 25:12But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.
So let us ask the Father for ears to hear and eyes that can see, as time is very short and we need to know what he is telling us in this hour. Let us be good stewards of the word of God, and pass on life to others, real life of the Holy Spirit.
