"Hey, Lord?
I know this Part is,
You know: real icky,
and all, but...."

"Which Part, My child."

"Remember: I told
You I had just finished
that 'Left Behind' book?
It's supposed to be
about Revelation."

[NOD.]

"Well, first of all,
I was kinda surprised
to see Philly, in There:
in Revelation, I mean."

[CHUCKLE!]

"Well?
It's WEIRD!"

[NOD.]

"I mean, it would
be like if somebody
was from....eh,
say.....
Sidney, Australia,
and, they opened
up the Book of
Revelation, and
saw, 'SIDNEY',
right in the
MIDDLE of It!"

[SYMPATHETIC NOD.]

"It's just weird:

And to the angel
of the church
of Philadelphia
write:
The words of the holy one,
the true one,
who has the key
of David......
[Revelation 3:7]"

[NOD.]

"So, Lord;
are we in the
Dog Years, or not?"

"Tell Me, child."

"You mean,
about the DOG YEARS?"
(frown)

Well.......You know the
rule about us, and
DOGS?"

"Yes, child."

"That, what is it.......?
For every year that
WE'VE lived......a dog
lives SEVEN?"

"Go on, My precious."

"Well, that's really
sad for dog lovers,
Lord.
(thoughtful frown)
And, I'm not gonna
start kvetching,
Lord."

"No, child."

"Although, I don't
understand why nature
isn't kinder to animals."

"Are you speaking of Me,
child?"

"Yeah.
(woeful sigh)
I guess."

[SLOW NOD.]

"Anyhow.....
I can't remember
what I was talking about, Lord?"

"My Word, child."

"Oh, yeah.
YEAH!
THAT'S right: Australia!
So.....how come Sidney,
Austalia,
ISN'T in Scripture,
Lord?"

"It is, child."

"REALLY?
(squint)
(more squinting)
(glasses slip down nose)
(several sips 'a rootbeer)
Anyhow, I still think we're
in the Dog Years, Lord.
Do You see what I mean?"

[PATIENT NOD.]

"So.....like, Scripture
says the Tribulation's
gonna be seven YEARS, right?"

"Go on, My beloved."

"Well.....maybe, for YOU,
it's SEVEN years!
But, for US, it's
2 THOUSAND years!
Maybe, 300 of OUR years
is like, ONE of
Your years!
Do You get it, Lord?"

[ANOTHER PATIENT NOD.]

"SO? Well.......
maybe, everybody
got Raptured 2000 years,
ago! I mean,
How would WE know?
SO?
What d'Ya THINK?"

"Read My Word, child."

"But, Lord!
I DID have lunch, today!
And,
I thought my logic
was bein' pretty GOOD!"

[LONG SUFFERING SILENCE.]
"I have given all
My children
gifts,
My beloved."

(laugh!)
"Yeah. But Lord,
You still haven't
told me what MINE
are! And, I'm
ALMOST outta'
dog years!"

[LAUGH.]
"Read My Word, child."

"Why, Lord?
Am I gonna find it,
in THERE?"

"Yes, child.
You will find everything,
in There."
