He was speared like hunter will do his prey; Really, HIS life was hunted.
Hung on a tree like animal about to be roasted under a flame; Brutally, HIS body was hunted with torture.
Water and blood gushed out of HIM like they would from arrowed lamb.
Can we really deny HE is the lamb that was bruised for our iniquity? I bet we can’t.
HE is the spotless lamb of GOD that redeemed us back to GOD with HIS blood- even more.
“I chose to lay my life down”. HE said. Little wonder HE alters no word as HIS accusers taunt HIM before Pilate.
Though the ground of Gethsemane tasted HIS sweat like the gushing of blood, but it’s the hill of Calvary which open up to receive HIS precious blood at cruxifiction that can testify- “this is a different but precious blood”. Truly, it speaks better things than the blood of Abel; crying out for mercy instead of judgment.
Won’t you run to the mercy seat covered by HIS blood? That your sin may no longer see the light of day and your guilt locked up in the unseen realm forever.
Spotless, HE was. Without sin or blemish; but HE bore your sin so you might be free from it and bear no thing.
Precious, HIS blood- the one and only- qualified for the remission of our sins. So, HE shed it. Thank GOD the blood still speaks.
Speechless, HE was; so that we may have voice.
And now HE speaks as our mediator at the Father’s right hand.
Won’t you run to HIM?
